Ok so I left Facebook, and now I find myself using Twitter and Tumblr. I like where I am now. I feel that everything I post is something I have no problem being public. With Facebook however, we forget and I forgot that all this shit is shared. We put stuff on that’s private but in what is actually a public forum. I don’t blame Facebook. They have an amazing product. We just all need to remember that there’s no such thing anymore as “friends only”.
BTW, Kanye West joined Twitter and honestly it’s hilarious. He’s reason enough for everyone to join in my opinion.
When all is said and done, success without happiness is the worst kind of failure.
Happiness
More or less
It’s just a change in me
Something in my liberty
Oh, my, my
Happiness
Coming and going
I watch you look at me
Watch my fever growing
I know just where I am
But how many corners do I have to turn?
How many times do I have to learn
All the love I have is in my mind?Well, I’m a lucky man
With fire in my handsHappiness
Something in my own place
I’m standing naked
Smiling, I feel no disgrace
With who I amHappiness
Coming and going
I watch you look at me
Watch my fever growing
I know just who I amBut how many corners do I have to turn?
How many times do I have to learn
All the love I have is in my mind?I hope you understand
I hope you understandGotta love that’ll never die

It has been an amazing experience. There’s no question about that. :) We are doing a line run today and then starting tomorrow we are in tech. This has been the biggest opportunity for me yet in my short theatrical career. I am incredibly grateful for the experience and the opportunity given to me by my director Eda Holmes and Shaw’s Artistic Director Jackie Maxwell.
Look, this show is incredibly out of the realm of what is usually produced here. It’s a complete departure from the mandate as the play is not set nor was written during Bernard Shaw’s life; it’s all in rhyming verse; and to top it all off we end the first act with a huge rap number in which the “C-word” (not capitalism) is repeated over and over.
Will there be walk outs? Probably. But a huge part of me has hope that people will look past that and realize that the same company that just opened two Bernard Shaw plays will be opening an in your face, contemporary, controversial, and edgy Caryl Churchill play. It is a testament to the versatility of this company. And it’s incredibly exciting.
BTW, this play is so fucking relevant it kills me.
You wanna put the tip of your finger in there to be sure it’s not too tight
It’s bizarre. In the past three months my career ambitions have grown two-fold but so has my understanding that there is so much more to this world than your career.
Young and full of running,
Tell me where has that taken me?
Just a great figure eight,
Or a tiny infinity?Love is really nothing but a dream that keeps waking me,
For all of my trying,
I still end up dying,
How can it be?
Where I just wish someone would text me and say, “Yo, come hang out”.
I don’t want to text the boy because I want him to put in effort and if he doesn’t, welp, there you go. Not that interested.
Don’t want to text the ex for obvious reasons.
I hate always being the person to initiate things, but at the same time I don’t like just sitting here doing nothing…blah…
Balzac’s is finally open! For almost three years we at Shaw have had to pay 3.50 for shitty coffee at the Shaw cafe. But finally Balzac’s, which is one of my favorite coffee shops has opened.
First day in…6 shots of espresso. Oh…my…gods.
